Worth knowing

Wipe cadence differs from what some servers list. Treat the next wipe column as the guide.

Population holds on a handful of servers. A large share of online roleplay players sit on the busiest few, so the top of the table is where the towns are populated.

Group limits are set per server. Read them before you bring friends.

Gather rate is 1x where the name does not state one. Names carry 2x and 5x in places.

PvE is the common flag here, not the rule. PvP zones exist on some servers. Last seen times tell you whether a server is holding population or offline.

Questions

How does Rust Tracker decide which servers are roleplay?

A server appears here if it carries the roleplay tag or has 'roleplay' in its name. Nothing is judged by hand. A server that runs roleplay rules without either label stays off this page, so check the full list for those.

When do roleplay Rust servers wipe?

Cadence varies by server. The next wipe column gives the time in UTC for each one, refreshed every five minutes. Some servers announce a schedule and then only wipe at force wipe, so confirm against the column before you build.

Why do so few roleplay servers have high player counts?

Population concentrates. The busiest handful hold a large share of everyone playing the tag, and the rest run small or intermittent. Sort by players to see the live spread, or by rank to find servers that hold numbers across wipes.

Is killing on sight allowed on roleplay servers?

It depends on the server. Most of these carry the PvE flag, which restricts player combat, but some allow PvP in set zones or during events. Rules live on each server's Discord or site, and they are enforced. Read them before you spawn.
